We have a flat rate of $139.95 OR LESS + parts on most all DC jack replacements. Yes, OR LESS, some of the modular (wiring harnesses) can have a quicker fix than the soldering jobs and we find it only fair to charge less for the quicker jobs.

Most hinge replacements can be done quickly, once the new hinge(s) arrive. And sometimes it's not the hinges that break, but rather the plastic housing. If it is the plastic housing there is always a possibility of us rebuilding it right here at the laptop body shop. Saving you some more mulah!

Warning!!! Geek-speak ahead! (Though, we're a non-geek kind of company.)

Most people don't know that "Laptop" is a misnomer. If you've been suffocating your laptop with your thighs, pillow, bed or other soft surface, you may have overheated it to the point that the solder on the chipsets has shifted.

We have ways of reflowing or reballing the solder to the chipsets. This is one of the services that we do not charge for if there is no success, nor can we give our typical guarantee if it fails again. However, we will attempt the endeavor a second time at no additional charge.

Unfortunately, dents, dings, and scratches are going to be there to stay. But if you've broken something that you can't find a part for, or the price of the part seems overly inflated by 1000% (yes, that happens), then you know why we've created the Laptop Body Shop.

It truly doesn't matter what the part on the body, or casing, has broken, if the laptop functions then we probably have a way of "fixing" the issue.

Let our trained technicians recreate, fix, or just get that part working again and let you get back to laptopping, instead of lab topping!

So, you left that flash drive plugged in and set your coffee cup on it. *SNAP!* *EXPLETIVE!* *GRIMMACE* And that was your last working USB port.

The majority of laptops have a 'daughterboard' that hosts at least one or two of your USB ports, and can be easily replaced, aside from having to tear the entire laptop apart.

Audio jacks are another thing. Not all motherboards have the audio jacks on a daughterboard. This can be a tough fix and not always possible without soldering or motherboard replacement. Be kind to your audio jacks! They give you YouTube, Pandora, and Spotify!

What use is your laptop if you can't turn it on? Maybe you've turned it on just one too many times? Maybe you thought you could get by with sticking a pen in the empty socket? But now you have that report due and nothing will work. You could rip out the wires and touch them together (NO, DON'T TRY THAT!).

Many newer ultrabooks, netbooks, Chromebooks, MacBook Airs, and the like, do not come with CD/DVD/Blu-ray drives, but yours did, and you use it like the LaserDisc it once was.

If Uncle Bob thought it was a coffee cup holder or it just became a fur-gatherer for the family pet, it doesn't matter, we can fix or replace your CD/DVD/Blu-ray drive and get you back to creating those "mix-tapes."
